If I cash 1.000.000€ in the lottery then...

With a part of it I would make great holidays with my friends. Then I would buy a whirlpool for my balcony. But I’m not sure what I would do with the rest of the money. I think the main part I would save for the future and keep on snowboarding as much as I can.

An Affair to Remember...

One of the most beautiful experiences was a music festival with my friends in Suisse. We had so much fun!

What means snowboarding to you?

Snowboarding for me is not only a sport, it is much more! I really love the nature. When I’m on the mountain with my board I can be creative and innovative, and than I feel free and liberated.

Has your life changed beeing a snowboard pro?

Well, until now it hasn’t changed that much. Now I can travel around to shred in awesome places with awesome people.

What kind of rider are you?

I would refer myself as a “kicker-rider”, because for me its much more fun flying and doing rotations. I prefer a camber-shape because so I have more pop. But I have a lot of fun in the powder as well!

Your signature trick & favorite obstacle?

I really like the feeling when I’m doing some bs 900 on big kickers. It pushes me a lot!

Which trick do you want to learn next?

I have so many tricks that I would like to learn next.

The place to be?

My place to be is for sure Val Senales in Italy. Because there are riding a lot of my friends and it is always so much fun. Also the park is really awesome.

What kind of style is up to date? What trick is done?.

Every good rider has his own style and his own stylish tricks. It’s always nice to see something new or different. Be creative!

How do you motivate yourself and learn new tricks?

When I’m riding I always try to have so much fun as I can. I feel very good when I’m shredding down my lines with some friends and some good music in the ears. If I land some tricks I’m gonna be stoked and that’s the moment I try out new stuff.

You had any dangerous situations on the mountain so far?

Well, I had a couple of hard crashes where I broke something. But the worst situation I had when I was 12. I´ve done an overshoot at a kicker and I landed after the landing. I broke my hip, broke my left arm twice, had a dislocated shoulder, a lung contusion, a brain concussion and I was unconscious for a couple of minutes. That wasn’t very funny… But one season later I was back on my board. I was so afraid to do a jump. But Fortunately, I was able to overcome my fear, and to jump again.

What do you like most about Völkl Snowboards?

About Völkl Snowboards I mostly like the high technical level of the Snowboards. In my view the squad prime-board is one of the best boards I´ve ever ridden. And for sure the whole crew!

Highlights of last season?

One highlight was for sure one day at Klausberg with one of my friends. There was more than a meter powder! We´ve rode fresh powder lines from 9am to 3:30 pm.

Blue bird & perfect conditions – who should be in your riding crew?

On a day with perfect conditions it’s always a good choice to ride with some friends.

The best Snowboard trip ever was...

When I was in Les deux Alpes for 29 days. I lived in a camp with some friends and I went 27 days up in the mountain to ride. Every day was great fun!

What stuff is in your backpack when you head up to ride or travel?

Something to eat and drink, a photo camera, I-pod…….

What is your favourite contest & why?

In the summertime I spend a lot of time in Kaltern in South Tyrol. There is a lake where I go to windsurf, go fishing, go to swim, hang out or play guitar. Otherwise I work with my fathers Company Alpinholz KG.

In five years I want...

At first I would like to be happy and healthy, and I’m looking forward to be part of a Snowboard movie production.

Thanks to my family, sponsors, friends and other supporters!

Peace, Marc
