I have been snowboarding for over 18 years and in this time it has grown from a hobby to a passion and now my job.
I rode halfpipe contests at first and then moved on to riding slopestyle contests and finally to big mountain and freeride competitions as well as filming in the backcountry.
It has always been fun to travel to different places, to be out in the mountains and meet other riders with the same passion, to compete, take photos or film.
When I am not competing, I love to go riding at home in Austria with my friends and if it is not winter time, I equally love to go surfing and to enjoy some time at the beach.
I am always on the lookout for a new and exciting adventure.

If I cash 1.000.000€ in the lottery then...
I would go on a surf boattrip with my best friends immediately, put some money into charity organisations, buy a house at the beach and one in the mountains, buy a van… travel with my mum somewhere to swim with dolphins ;)
What means snowboarding to you?
It´s a big part of my life, a hobby, a passion and my job. I deeply fell in love with snowboarding. To me freeriding is about expressing myself in my riding style,
and being creative with chosing a line. I love traveling, meeting other people from different countries and cultures with different traditions and habits. But when I travel with snowboarding or surfing we are all sharing one big passion for the mountains and the waves and that brings us together, I really love that.
Has your life changed beeing a snowboard pro?
No, my passion became my job. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to travel the world and see new places I probably would never see, if I wasn´t snowboarding. Bring on some new adventures, thats just the best part of it
What kind of rider are you?
I love to ride the Alright. especially when there is a lot of powder… The shape is special and it just looks so cool. It keeps at the surface like no other board before… it makes it a lot easier to land your tricks in deeper snow conditions.
Floating on the surface-best feeling ever!
Your signature trick & favorite obstacle?
Method, Pow Turn, Slashing Windlips
Which trick do you want to learn next?
Cab 180 off a massive cliff
The place to be?
Arlberg, Austria – it just offers you everything! Steep lines, cliffs, wide open fields.. and unforgetable après ski…!!!
What kind of style is up to date? What trick is done?.
Well I guess the double/tribble corks and Yolo flips are taking over. I have to admit, I can´t do them, but I am okay with that! I would rather love to be able to do some fast stylish butter tricks in the pow after riding out a cool line!
How do you motivate yourself and learn new tricks?
Learning by doing… if your are crashing hard-get up and try harder!
You had any dangerous situations on the mountain so far?
Two seasons ago I crashed on pure ice with my head riding out of a line. Even last season I have had another injury that helped me to realize that snowboarding is not the most important in my life. Being healthy and getting out of bed in the morning without pain is so much more important than anything else. It can be over in a second and I have learned to say "no" and listen to my body when I am tired. When i need a rest, I rest. Injuries can be a good thing though, they bring you down to earth and make you think. And sometimes you come back stronger than before. Physically and mentally.
What do you like most about Völkl Snowboards?
We all have a lot of influence in the boards, I love that völkl let us be part of the production and design! It helps a lot to understand a perfect shape and how it all works. Thanks Völkl Snowboards that I can be part of the whole process.
Highlights of last season?
My trip to Alska last season was such a season and career highlight. Sharing my dream and passion for snowboarding with friends made this trip outstanding. I think I have never experienced so many different feelings in a day snowboarding. This place is just magical.
The best Snowboard trip ever was...
Alaska! and a film trip to Russia in 2008! A pure adventure jumping over everything that was made out of metal !
What stuff is in your backpack when you head up to ride or travel?
Shovel, probe, water, transceiver – to put on! Dark Chocolate!
What is your favourite contest & why?
The Verbier Extreme is an amazing event. I feel very blessed to have been part of it several times!
What do you do when you are not riding?
I am planing my next surf trip! ;)
In five years I want...
to surf and snowboard even better than I do now!
A big huge THANK YOU to all my sponsors Völkl, Marker, Völkl Performance Wear, Dakine, Deeluxe, Ortovox and HAD…my mum and dad for always supporting me, my friends for being my friends ;)
