Multiple components determine a board’s flex: initial tension, adjustment and sidecut of the core, torsion (depending on materials used in the upper and lower beam), setback and stance. Building hard, stiff boards is not a real challenge for a snowboard manufacturer. Stiff boards do not automatically make for a smoother ride and better control! In reality, stiff boards are unforgiving and need to be ridden very aggressively. This becomes most evident on challenging terrain and in the park. In our boards the know-how is reflected in a softer flex pattern, which guarantees optimal torsional rigidity and ultimate stability. All of these put together make for more playful boards offering agile riding performance and maximum response power. In addition, we have reduced the wood core’s thickness and reinforced it with ultra-light materials, such as carbon, aramid or titanium.
