If I cash 1.000.000€ in the lottery then...
The first thing I would buy is a good film camera.
Your house is burning...
I would try to save the people inside I guess.
An affair to Remember...
All my affairs are to remember!
What means snowboarding to you?
Snowboarding is the sport I can identify myself the best. You are in nature all day; also have to react on all weather conditions. It's also a sport which lets you be creative and there are so many different ways to play it.
Has your life changed being a snowboard pro?
I don't know if I would call myself a snowboard pro. But now I have much more time and opportunities to snowboard and that’s awesome.
What kind of rider are you?
I like to ride in parks, kicker, pipe, rails. Slopestyle courses the most. For that I prefer camber boards. I also love to go out and ride in backcountry ore find spots in backyards or build kickers. Mostly I have a rocker board ready for actions like that.
What do you like most about Völkl Snowboards?
I love the camber and rocker women snowboards. One cool thing is also that we can bring our opinions to the products and we try to make them better and better! I also like the legacy label clothes with fair & bio organic fashion.
The place to be?
Laax is pretty awesome. There are a lot different opportunities to ride and you can find everyday and with every condition something good to ride.
Your signature trick?
Sideflip rodeo.
What kind of style is up to date? What trick is done?.
Long grabs and bones are so good. Some tricks are really old-school but there is no way that they are uncool, just keep on doing them.
Which trick do you want to learn next?
Right now I'm working on the 720 so that I can do them properly with grab and save landing.
How do you motivate yourself and learn new tricks?
Friends always motivate to learn new tricks. It's also good if you can exercise together on the same trick. If I feel secure over a jump I always feel like trying new tricks. I like to imagine new tricks first in my mind and to try them on trampoline, jumping in water or in powder before doing them in the park.
You had any dangerous situations on the mountain so far?
Yes, while freeriding: there was a bit a misunderstanding between me and the filmer. I landed on a rock and fell over it and dislocated my shoulder and crashed my elbow. The good thing was that after that accident I had time to finish my diploma work for the art school.
Highlights of last season?
The trip to Finland to the Catfight event was awesome. We were an amazing group, we did a lot of filming and photographing. The competitions were also really good.
Blue bird & perfect conditions – who should be in your riding crew?
As long as people are motivated and happy I don't care so much who it is :-).
The best Snowboard trip ever was...
Two years ago I made some trips in spring and summer with Corinne Suter. Always good and funny to remember that days. We were trying really hard building kickers and stuff on mountainpasses and made a video. http://vimeo.com/32409477
What stuff is in your backpack when you head up to ride or travel?
An old analog fotocamera. I love them. Probabely my skateboard or slackline, so I have something to do if there is no snow. My computer, so I have something to do when the weather is really bad.
What is your favourite contest & why?
Team photo battle in Scuol. There was a kicker build in the village. Riding and photographies were judged in the end.
What do you do when you are not riding?
Art (also working on projects with our art group Sweeterland), ice fishing of course (in summer it's pretty difficult so I always have to travel to Antarctica). Cooking ice fishes, skateboarding, slacklining, working....
In five years I want...
to snowboard a lot and learn a lot of new tricks, travel and realize some projects I have in my head. I also want to continue somehow with my art studies. Don't now yet when and what direction exactly but I have some more time to figure that out.
LAST WORDS
