MOUNTAIN CLEANING DAY 2011

We'll meet in Westendorf (AUT) on the 21st of May 2011 for a mountain cleaning in the Boarders Playground Park...

Please mark this date (Sat. 21.st. May 2011)  in your calender for a Völkl Mountain Cleaning Day in Westendorf Austria.

All the volunteers come together to become aware of the impact of rubbish in our mountains. Do you know how many liters of water get polluted by a single cigarrete butt? Do you know how many animals die just because they eat the thrown away rubbish in the mountains? It's time to change peoples behavior!

Each one of us can take an important step:
If you brought it up the mountain, take it back down the mountain with you!
Dispose of rubbish properly in the closest recycling bins and don't throw it into nature.

We'll meet in the morning at the Alpenrosenbahn at 10am and go up with the skilift to clean up the Boarders Playground Snowpark
Bring your Mountainbike if you want to ride down the moutnain at the end of the day. (bikes also for rent at the station)

We'll hike down together trough the park to get all the rubbish together...
In the afternoon, we'll do a BBQ and for those who want to stay overnight, there is a chance to rent rooms in the Brechthornhaus (close to the park / up on the mountain)

In co-operation with Mountain Riders.org, n.asa( the new Austrian Snowboard Association) and the Boarders Playground we invite all of you to come by and participate at this important event!
