Völkl Snowboards Girls Team

Do not mess with these girls! The VÖLKL girls have been spending a lot of time together at photo and film shootings, park sessions and on memorable powder days all of which made them become trusted friends. Every one of them is charging hard in her own special way – be it in international freestyle contests of the TTR World Snowboard Tour, boardercross races or while ripping their home mountain. Their team spirit gives them the strength and power they need to take up the challenge with the guys. The SISTAZ’ individual style creates news, trends and perfectly adjusted boards because these girls just know what they want. These SISTAZ are intelligent, athletic, successful and unbelievably passionate –and they’re ready to show up on stage.

It’s not at all easy for girls to gain foothold in a snowboarding world that is dominated by men. For a long time women snowboarders had to use boards that had been built by and for men. Obviously, these guys forgot to keep in mind that girls do not only have a different shape but that they also prefer to ride a different shape! Now, boards with too much of a wide waist and hard flex as well as unappealing designs belong to the past.

In close cooperation with the R&D department of VÖLKL Snowboards the SISTAZ developed and designed boards that female riders are asking for: women-specific boards with a shape and flex that have both been adjusted to the specific anatomical characteristics of women riders, tried and tested by the SISTAZ team riders. Simply because it’s the VÖLKL girls who know best what women want. It is not until the guys are about to give up and the VÖLKL girls are happy with the result of their work, that it is time to present the new snowboards that fully satisfy the specific wants and needs of women snowboarders:
