Actually there is no funny story behind my nickname. Betzy is just the short version of my real name...
Do you remember your first day on a snowboard?
Of course I remember that day. It was in the Winter of 95´ with my two brothers. My older brother was so impressed about Snowboarding that he convinced me to also try it. I had a Crazy Banana Board with my skiboots...although it was hard to ride it was so much fun that i kept on going...
How did you learn new tricks back in the days?
Back in the days there were not too many girls trying out new tricks and I was not really thinking about new, stylish tricks. But as I was always riding with my two brothers automatically I started copying them. Thats how I could push myself and learn news tricks...
Why did you never stop snowboarding since then?
First I live in the mountains and for me the best sport to do there is Snowboarding. So why should I stop. It just feels great exploring and beeing in the nature...
You probably have visited a bunch of different ski resorts already. What is your favorite place, what was the most exotic and where would you like to live and ride in the future?
I have been travelling a lot and i have seen many different places. But I have to say that for me the Alps are still the best place for that sport. There is a huge amount of opportunities you can chose from. Whether you want to hike some peaks or ride a nice park. I have been riding and shooting in Zakopane, Poland and in Slovakia aswell and those places have been interesting and somehow different... I think at the moment Innsbruck is the perfect place for that sport but I also could imagine to live in France...
You also must have seen tons of snowboard videos in the past. What´s your favorite video part and why do you remember it?
I really like the style of the Pirate Movies. But the video part I remember the most is the part of Victoria Jealouse from TB7, from 2003. She is one of the only girls doing extreme freeriding and in this case she rode a sick line combined with an ice tunnel. And this got stuck in my mind...
Let us know about your favorite trick! Do you have any specials in your trick bag?
My favourite trick is a powder turn or I also love cliff drops with deep powder landings...
What do you like most about Völkl Snowboards?
What I like best is the involvement of the team riders in research and developement and the love people put into the boards. The shapes and the designs are always unique and special.

Most of the time I listen to reggae and dancehall musik. Also I am into some Hip Hop and some chill sound aswell. I love watching good films like those of David lynch and Almodovar... Reading is one of the most important aspects for my entertainment...
How do you make your stomach happy? You for sure have some favorite drinks and food!?
With lots of organic and healthy food, llike fruits, veggies, salad etc... One of my favourite drink is Radler, but water is still the best...
What was your best experience so far in life? Can you explain a little?
My best experiences have been all the trips I have been able to do. Like my around the world trip for 5 months, Sri Lanka, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, France, Spain, Portugal etc
Another great experience has been my Erasmus Semester in Spain...
And finally what is your biggest dream?
To live a happy, healthy life with my beloved ones and good, trustworthy friends that inspire me...
