Völkl teamrider Maria Kuzma was the top snowboarder of the day and scored her first win of the season outside of her native New Zealand. FWT investigative reporter, Adam Brown, describes her run in the stream-of-conscience style for which his adoring readers know and love him: “Down the middle, navigates her way through a large boulder zone, peels skier’s left, two-metre air, more speed, powder turns releasing sluffs, another cleanly landed two-metre straight air, more carving, skier’s left, cautious drop over a small cliff band, points it down a small, tight couloir, fast, steep shredding with more sluff, fast frontside grab over a snowy boulder, powder slaying through the finish. Clean and confident.”
With this result Maria actually scores nr. 3 in the FWT overall ranking.
Good luck for her last event coming up in Verbier!!!
