Last weekend the world’s biggest longboard and old-school snowboard event was celebrating its 13th anniversary. Team rider Chris Garside started with his Selecta longboard in this funny competition and made the 1st place in the category "Longboard Classic No School (men)". Swiss rider Roy Brönnimann got 4th in the same category.
With perfect snow and weather conditions the Longboard Classic race started at the Albona ridge at a height of 2,408 meters. After a Le Mans mass start all riders took the direct route down the entire 1,001 vertical meters into the village of Stuben.
In many cultures the number 13 is considered unlucky, while others celebrate it as a lucky number. For the 13th Longboard Classic this fabled prime number brought good luck for everyone with some fresh powder and two top-5 rankings for Chris and Roy.
